George Gooneratne Optometrists are one of the pioneers in eye care industry in Sri Lanka. Our founder late Mr. George Abeygooneratne opened his first branch in Maradana in 1956 and later developed by his elder son Late Mr. Lionel Abeygooneratne. Our president Mr. Jayantha Abeygooneratne was the first to produce fused glass bifocals in 1971. Since then the company has grown rapidly conquering both wholesale and retail markets in Sri Lanka.
